My journey to God has been a long one!! Having been born into a Roman Catholic family I did go to church every Sunday (sometimes twice!!) but I fell away from the church in my 20’s-30’s. It was only when I was in hospital during 2006 that I did come back to God 

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and when the doctor gave me the news, I thought I’d been passed a death sentence. I asked for a Catholic priest to come and give the sacrament for the sick.

A very young priest in his 20’s came and prayed and as soon as he put his hands on my head and prayed the most wonderful feeling overcame me and I felt that God had taken away all  the worries etc of my forthcoming operation.The priest left me a rosary and I prayed by myself for the first time in ages.

Whilst I was in hospital I met Hazel and it was through her that I came to KCF. I can honestly say that God loves us, no matter that we’ve been away from Him, He welcomes us back with open arms and also, as in my own case, God heals.

My cancer is now in remission and I thank God every day.

Since coming to KCF I have been able to praise God in the most wonderful way. Chez, Kac and Rosie prayed with me and the outcome was that I was able to speak in tongues and I was baptised in the Holy Spirit. Since then I have experienced God at a more personal level.

In my journey it seems that God needed to show me that He is great and powerful and a Healer, but also that He is a personal God who wants a relationship with me.

Proverbs 4 v18 “The path of the just is as the shining light that shines more and more to the perfect day “.
