"I was always first to dance on the table ..and ended up under it too!"

All my life I have been surrounded by alcohol: both my parents were excessive drinkers. I had to witness fights and arguments that were all alcohol related. My parents took me into a pub when I was just 15 and alcohol dominated me totally. I was always first to dance on the table at parties - and sometimes ended up under it too!

In 2003 everything was falling apart in my life and I turned more and more to drink. It nearly destroyed me. I knew I couldn't go on like this and realised I could lose everything - my marriage, children, friends and job - so I cried out to God to take away the taste for alcohol.

God did  just that and at my first attempt to drink alcohol it tasted really bad. I never drank again. God gave me hope and changed my life. It was a miracle!

I thank Him every day that He cared enough about me to do this. I am a walking testimony of that care to my family.

He made me an overcomer.
