Feeling a fire for God

I was only young - I should have had no chance.....

Bad mistakes, worse consequenses...

When I was young (I can't remember how old) I had a night light for reading. One night I went to bed , and I did the stupid thing - yes, you've guessed it - I left the night light on.

Scary science...

So the science of the matter is as follows: take a hot bulb and take a teddy or two (bear in mind I was very young): hot bulb plus teddy equals - Fire! So - my whole mattress caught fire - and I just slept!

Thank God for family

It was my sister who first discovered my mattress fire, so she ran and told my mum who came, dragged me out of the bed, and then threw the burning mattress out of the window.

The damage

The damage was - one burnt mattress! And apart from that - one singed hair! That was it! No burn marks or anything - just that one hair.

The fact of the matter

I know that it was God who saved my life that night, and this re-awakened my faith and belief .
